Although during winter the weather of course isn’t going to be great, as temperatures will be very low and there could be snow or rain, this doesn’t actually matter, as it has no impact on the day or the ceremony. With summer weddings, you can’t always rely on the weather. A lot of people have outdoor weddings during the summer, as they want to make the most of the glorious weather, however as we know in the UK, this isn’t always the case. Therefore, you could book your summer wedding for a particular date, and you find out that it is going to rain or be miserable. This can have a really negative impact on the day and make it quite risky. However, with winter weddings, you don’t have this problem, as all ceremonies are held indoors, so everything will still run smoothly whatever the weather!

Regardless of the time of year, the location, or what sort of themed wedding you are having, you can rest assured that you will always get stunning photos. However, some people think that with winter weddings, this limits you to having them taken indoors. This isn’t necessarily the case, as a lot of the time, you can still have pictures taken outside, with the gorgeous winter sun shining down on you. Due to the fact that demand is higher for weddings during the summer, you will often find that you will get better rates for winter. Having a winter wedding is great for budgeting, as it allows you to get all the things you want, but at a better price. Furthermore, venues will most likely be in lower demand, meaning you are more likely to get the date, time and location that you desire. With more availability and flexibility, and at lower costs, winter weddings are certainly something to be considered!
It’s something a little different
As winter isn’t the most common time of year to get married, having a winter wedding is different, and makes you stand out. It is also a good opportunity to get creative with your wedding theme, for example with the colour schemes. You could go for a seasonal theme, or make it very much a white wedding, in keeping with the snowy winter atmosphere. Whatever you opt for, it is sure to be the perfect winter wedding.
